Storm Breaker - Update No 2

I worked mainly on the right foreground this morning. I had hoped to finish it, but had too many distractions, which included a power cut at one stage - it's a bright day today but I still need light in the studio! The painting is getting fairly advanced now and I will probably finish it in the next session.

You have done a great job of rendering the misty effect of spray in the foreground. This contrasts beautifully with the sharper rendering of other aspects of the wave.

I was trying to convey movement, Mick. The photo has everything frozen including that area of the wave. My thinking is that area of the wave would be moving faster than the part which has not yet broken and would therefore look fuzzy to the human eye. At the moment, I sense that I need to get more red into the painting as paintings nearly always look better with a good balance of spectral colour. If all goes to plan and other things don't intervene, I should finish it on Monday.
