Plein Air and "Plein Stable"!

I've been neglecting my blog a bit recently, so hopefully, my little band of followers have not lost interest in me! Got out to paint on Saturday morning which was bright and sunny and then again yesterday in the pouring rain! I got down to my favourite seaside spot on Saturday to paint this view of the cliffs at Baginbun Head:-

I got some shelter just inside the stable door at Ballycross Apple Farm yesterday, and painted these two little guys - just a fun sketch really:-

Whilst one of your band of followers I've never been described as 'small'. Both of these are admirable images and I particularly like your shift in direction with the second one.

Thanks Mick. I don't think I'm cut out to be an equine artist though! But it's always fun to try something new and challenging.

Hey Michael, that's actually a pretty good little sketch for someone who doesn't paint horses very often. Very cool!

Thanks Ron. It was a bit of a challenge, but was real fun to do. Anyway, the alternative on the day was to paint in the rain (and I get more than enough practice at that)!
